Taking a page from Joe Redner, fellow City Council candidate Joseph Caetano has a freebie for anyone wearing an “I Voted” sticker.
Redner, who faces incumbent Gwen Miller in the March 27 runoff, said he would give free admission to his nude dance club, The Mons Venus, to anyone wearing the sticker.
Caetano, who is running for the District 7 seat against Frank Margarella, has a more G-rated offer. He’ll hand out free coffee or ice cream to voters at his Java Joe’s coffee shop in Tampa Palms.
The runoff has sparked more interest citywide than the March 6 general election, and that trend holds true in New Tampa. Vote totals for the first three days of early voting at the New Tampa Regional Library have nearly doubled.
