President Bush has declared an emergency in Florida, making the state eligible for federal aid in dealing with Tropical Storm Fay and authorizing the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate all storm disaster relief efforts
That means the federal government will pay 75 percent of the cost of government efforts including debris removal and emergency protective measures.
