Hillsborough Court Clerk Pat Frank, Les and Gwen Miller, and Public Defender Julianne Holt will be the local leaders of state Sen. Dave Aronberg’s campaign for attorney general.
Aronberg, of Greenacres, and state Sen. Dan Gelber face each other in a primary for the Democratic nomation for the post, and have been waging a battle of endorsements. Aronberg just fired the latest shot, releasing a list of his county steerring committee.
Besides those four current or former elected officials, it includes prominent party activists Cathy Bartolotti, Alan Clendenin, Harry Cohen, Stacy Frank—daughter of Pat Frank—Janet Rifkin and former county party chairman Mike Suarez.
Les Miller, a former state senator, is a candidate for Hillsborough county commissioner. His wife Gwen is a Tampa City Council member.
Gelber has previously announced support by several local state legislators and Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio.
