I saw an ad this past weekend that makes me want to leave the hot water running, ditch all my compact fluorescent light bulbs and trade in my Mini for a gas-guzzling SUV.
This unholy alliance of two political parachutists was brought to you by none other than Al Gore.
Environmental protection is becoming conventional wisdom, and it’s good to see its political polarity decreasing. Witnessing the awkward handshake between the two wackiest, most extreme representatives of their creeds, however, somehow weakens the appeal.
The unintentional pitch behind this strategy is ‘Extremists Agree: Climate Change Is A Real Threat!’ Come on, Al Gore - put some real people in your ads instead of wingnuts.
