Today, we received an email from the Environmental Protection Agency of Hillsborough County. High levels of ozone were observed at the air monitoring station in Simmons Park. This prompted them to issue an AIR POLLUTION ADVISORY!
What this means, people with sensitivity to air pollution may need to stay inside. That’s older people, people with respiratory problems, and very young children.
The advisory is in effect until sunset tonight, and the high ozone levels are not expected to continue.
