Forecasters are expecting more rain today as showers move ashore in a pattern fairly similar to what Monday brought. The main difference should be a bit less rain.
Otherwise, as with Monday, the rain chances will be higher from Tampa south. Forecasters say the rain and possibly some thunderstorms will kick off in the morning and run through the afternoon. They’ll move to the northeast.
Meanwhile, the morning broth we call air will continue to brew as long as a high over the eastern Caribbean stays in place and shoves soggy air from the southwest our way. The low this morning at Tampa International Airport was 78 and by 7 a.m. had gone up a degree.
Only the cloud cover is keeping the afternoon temperatures from climbing into the 90s. That will come later in the week when the clouds thin.
