With so many troops returning from battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a group of researchers at the USF College of Nursing are studying a radical new “eye movement” treatment.
I wrote about Accelerated Resolution Therapy before, in large measure because of a recommendation from someone over at Soccom, but now you can get a chance to see for yourself how ART works.
In honor of Veterans Day, the USF College of Nursing is showcasing ART during a reception and presentation on Nov. 15.
Dr. Kevin Kip, the principal investigator, and other nationally-recognized researchers at the USF College of Nursing will share this emerging field of study, its progression, along with advocates call its promising clinically-meaningful benefits.
The reception begins 6 p.m. at the Joint Military Science Leadership Center, C.W. Young Hall, USF Maple Drive and USF Willow Drive. The presentation follows at 6:45 p.m.
Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by Nov. 10 either online or by calling Jo Callender at (813) 974-1470.
