Congrats to the University of South Florida for being ranked fifth in the nation by Military Times Edge in its “Best for Vets: Colleges 2011.”

Military Times Edge devised the rankings by polling more than 500 veterans on “what they consider the most important school services for vets,” according to the MTE website.

The side rated the schools on seven categories:

Under $250 per credit.
Under GI Bill cap.
Yellow Ribbon Program.
Relaxed residency.
Veterans office.
Accepts ACE credits.
Veterans Upward Bound.

USF missed only on the residence and Veterans Upward Bound categories, according to MTE.

Concord University of West Virginia was the top-rated school.

This afternoon, USF wrote about the ranking on its website.
