Following new polls showing a tie in the presidential race in Florida, both the McCain and Barack Obama campaigns are flooding the zone.
Sarah Palin, who was already scheduled to hold a rally in The Villages Sunday, is arriving in Orlando tonight and will make an appearance at Universal Studios sometime tomorrow.
That follows an announcement by the Barack Obama campaign that it has expanded his schedule in Florida to include a Daytona Beach town hall meeting tomorrow morning.
That town hall will be at Bethune Cookman University, followed by a rally at a Jacksonville park Saturday afternoon.
The McCain campaign hasn’t yet released details on Palin’s full schedule, except for The Villages event, but she’ll arrive in Orlando this evening. It’s likely her appearance at Universal will be a public event rather than a closed fundraiser, so as to grab some of the media attention that otherwise would be focussed all day on Obama.
None of these events was known about for certain until mid-week, when new polls showed Obama coming back to a tie with McCain in Florida—a state McCain himself, along with most political pundits, has said he must win to become president.
Obama vows to deny him a win here.
“You’re going to see non-stop action from us,” said Obama Florida spokeswoman Adrianne Marsh.

My entire family and I completely support Sarah and John. I am disgusted with the media’s cruel and unfounded attacks on Sarah (paid for by Obama). It goes to show just how low and unscrupulous the democratics are. To me it shows just as SCARED they all are of her. Oh, and Hilary, she is still pouting that she did not get the nomination. She isnt woman enough to stand next to Sarah on the same stage. She had to call it off. What shameful politicians we have in this country. They simply are not capable of conducting an honest campaign. Elizabeth

I hope you get to play Palins new game “stump the candidate”. First see if she realizes is the Bush doctrine related to Iraq? Are workers really “fundamentals"and are they strong like John says? What was the bill that Gramm -Leach put forth that set up the financial disaster? What is the difference between Lehman brothers and Bank of America? What is the federal Reserves mission and how much power do they have?how do we strengthen the dollar?
