St. Pete HOT To Hold 5th Annual Box Packing Drive For Wounded Troops

On Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, St. Pete’s HOT (Help Our Troops) will be holding its 5th annual box packing drive to help the combat wounded.

This year’s drive, at the St. Petersburg Museum of History, will honor in honor of SPC. William “Scott” Owens, who served with the 101st Bravo 3rd of 327th and with Charlie Co 1st of the 506.

Owens served from 2003-2009 and sustained numerous injuries over the course of his multiple deployments, including traumatic brain injury,  bi-lateral hearing loss, steel pins in his foot, knee injuries, vertebral compression fractures and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
