Further solidifying his position as the establishment Republican candidate for president, Mitt Romney today announced endorsements from eight more Florida legislators.
The Romney backers include the powerful Senate budget chief, J.D. Alexander of Lake Wales, along with Sens. Mike Bennett of Bradenton, Anitere Flores of Miami, Evelyn Lynn of Ormond Beach and Stephen Wise of Jacksonville; and Reps. Daniel Davis of Jacksonville, Shawn Harrison of Tampa and Ed Hooper of Clearwater.
Romney has previously been endorsed by three Florida Congress members—Connie Mack of Fort Myers, Tom Rooney of Tequesta and Ander Crenshaw of Jacksonville—and state Sen. John Thrasher of Jacksonville.
