Romney Gains Ground In Florida Polls

Mitt Romney has gained some ground—apparently at the expense of John McCain—in two polls in the GOP presisdential in Florida this week. Both showed Romney rising out of single digits, while McCain sinks back into single digits.
In a Rasmussen Research poll released today, Rudy Giuliani led with 30 percent of GOP voters, followed by Fred Thompson with 17 percent; Romney, 15 percent; McCain, 7 percent; Mike Huckabee, 5 percent; undecided 22 percent, and four other candidates splitting the remaining 5 percent.
A Strategic Vision poll earlier in the week showed Giuliani at 34 percent; Thompson 18 percent; Romney 10 percent; McCain 8 percent; Newt Gingrich, Tom Tancredo and Huckabee at 3 percent each; undecided 16 percent, and four other candidates splitting 5 percent.
The Rasmussen poll also showed Democrat Hillary Clinton leading both Giuliani and Thompson in general election matchups.

I totally agree with the polling numbers. I am amazed at the turnaround just here in my Texas community concerning support for Mitt Romney. Many of us previously were interested in seeing what Fred Thompson had to say, but now realize that he really doesn’t have the organizational skills to pull off a successful campaign. He just seems too slow and plodding on so many levels. Mitt Romney seems to have the intellect, focus, energy and integrity that will be required to handle all of the challenges our country faces ahead. None of the other candidates (Republican or Democrate) come close to having that same level of problem solving skills.
