Some rain and thunderstorms are crossing the state today. The rain is associated with a cold front that will move from North to South over the peninsula later today.
Along the storm line, we’ll some gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall. The storms have also produced some lightning and wind speeds of 30 mph.
Behind the main line of rain, we’ll see some more light rain falling. The entire system will clear the area by later afternoon.
Winds will start to decrease this afternoon as skies clear. Highs today will be much cooler than they were yesterday. Highs will range from the mid 70s to lower 80s.
Skies will be partly cloudy Saturday with highs cruising back into the 80s.
Sunday will see increasing clouds ahead of another, but much stronger cold front.
Much cooler air will come into the bay area next week.
