A new poll by Public Policy Polling shows President Barack Obama only a single point ahead when matched against both Mitt Romney and Ron Paul among Florida voters.

Obama led Romney by 46-45 percent, and Paul by 45-44 percent, in a poll with an error margin of 4.5 percent.

Obama led Michele Bachmann by five points, Rick Perry by seven points and Newt Gingrich by eight points in the poll. He had a 46 percent job approval rating, with 51 percent disapproval.

Public Policy Polling is a North Carolina-based, Democratic-oriented polling and consulting firm which says its published polls are neutral.

Why does the MSM keep saying this is a two man race between Paul and Romney? That’s all I keep hearing; Paul and Romney, Paul and Romney …

While Romney may be in the top tier for his polish and subtlety in advocating for bigger government, continuing the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and initiating a trade war with China, lesser known candidates like Buddy Roemer, Fred Karger or Rick Perry also advocate decreasing economic and personal liberties as well as expanding the reach of the Federal government. Also, former Fed banker Herman Cain has some compelling some ideas about inflating our currency which merit a fair hearing.

These other alternative candidates deserve the same attention that the MSM is lavishing on Paul and Romney.
