The Newt Gingrich campaign has named a Florida steering committee headed by state chairman Bill McCollum, and including two prominent Tampa Republicans, state Sen. Jim Norman and former state Sen. John Grant.
Co-chairs for Gingrich will be former Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty and Alan Levine, a health care policy maven who worked in the administration of Gov. Jeb Bush.
Gingrich previously announced a list of Florida county chairs including Sam Rashid in Hillsborough County and Miguel Fana in Pinellas.
Among the other members of Gingrich’s steering committee: state Sen. Thad Altman, state Reps. Michael Bileca of West Miami, Gayle Harrell of Stuart, Deborah Mayfield of Vero Beach and Carlos Trujillo of Miami.
