New Security Precautions Prompting Delays At MacDill Gates

Due to increased security measures MacDill Air Force Base is experiencing delays at all inbound gates during the morning rush hour. 

People wishing to enter MacDill should expect longer than usual delays in gaining access at all times during the day. The Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff approved the Commander, U.S. Northern Command’s request to raise the force protection conditions at stateside military installations as a prudent and precautionary measure in advance of activities commemorating the tenth anniversary of the 9/11.
