An NBC/Marist poll finds President Barack Obama narrowly leading his top potential Republican contenders in Florida, and finds Herman Cain and Mitt Romney neck-and-neck, well ahead of the pack, among Republicans for the GOP nomination.
In the Republican primary question for likely GOP voters, respondents gave Cain 32 percent and Romney 31 percent; the next-highest candidate was Rick Perry with 8 percent, then Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul with 6 percent each.
Matched against the leading Republicans among all voters, Obama led Romney by 45-43 percent, Cain by 47-41 percent and Perry 47-39 percent.
