Mike McCalister’s campaign confirmed today that he raised $71,000 in the third quarter of the year, completing a field of underwhelming quarterly financial performances by the GOP Senate candidates.
Adam Hasner led the field, according to figures he announced, with $535,000 raised in the quarter, and has $786,000 cash on hand. His quarterly total gave him an edge over the former fundraising leader in the field, George LeMieux, who reported having raised $402,916. LeMieux has slightly over $1 million in cash in his campaign account.
Craig Miller, the third major candidate in the race, announced he raised $226,000 and has $145,000 cash.
Meanwhile, Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson, whom the four Republicans hope to challenge, hasn’t announced a specific fundraising figure, but confirmed reports that he raised just under $2 million. Nelson started the quarter with just over $6 million in cash in his campaign account, and finished it with $7.5 million.
