Mack the elder backs Romney

Presidential contender Mitt Romney has announced an endorsement from former U.S. Sen. Connie Mack III, one of Florida’s leading Republican elder statesmen.
Mack is the father of Connie Mack IV, a congressman from Fort Myers.
Mack served in the U.S. House from 1983 to 1989, and in the Senate 1989 to 2001, ending his career with four years as chairman of the Senate Republican Conference.
