Kathy Castor’s sister seeks state House seat

One of Tampa’s leading pllitical families just got more political.
Karen Castor Dentel of Maitland, sister of U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor of Tampa, has filed to run for the a state House seat against Republican incumbent Scott Plakon.
Dentel is one of three children of of former state education commissioner and University of South Florida President Betty Castor, with retired Judge Don Castor. She is the stepdaughter of Betty Castor’s current husband, prominent lobbyist and former state legislator Sam Bell.
