Jon Huntsman took off for New Hampshire today rather than sticking around Orlando for the Presidency 5 convention and straw vote, even though he’s repeatedly said Florida is one of the states he’s counting on in the early primary season—but he left behind some strong allies to speak for him.
Huntsman got a videotaped introduction from Jeb Bush Jr. of Miami, who works with his father the former governor. His wife, Mary Kaye Huntsman, and three of their children introduced a video message from Huntsman.
Huntsman has seemed unable to get his campaign off square one, but recently got a boost with a Suffolk Uniiversity poll showing him moving into third place and double digits there.
