Office parties, while they may seem like a time to cut loose…simply, are not.  You should be on your best behavior, maybe a little more cordial but still maintain your professional office appearance.  Companies should plan office parties accordingly as to not leave room for people to overdue drinking.  Everyone remembers an idiot at an office party.  People and employers should not open up opportunity to fuel the already bad problem in this nation of gossip.
