Fundraiser Set For Wounded Tampa Marine Cpl. Mike Nicholson Who Lost Three Limbs In Afghanistan

On July 6, Marine Cpl. Michael Nicholson, 22, of Tampa was on foot patrol in Afghanistan. He was attacked by the enemy by an IED explosive and has sustained severe injuries including the loss of three limbs. Nicholson graduated from Plant High School in 2007.

His recovery has been a challenge, according to accounts on his Caring Bridge site.

But the community has responded and on Sat., Sept. 10, there will be a fundraiser on his behalf at Nikos Restaurant, 3705 Tampa Rd., Oldsmar.
