It didn’t take long for former U.S. Special Operations Command chief Adm. Eric T. Olson (Ret.) to land a gig.
Iridium Communications Inc. – a mobile and satellite communications company - announced that it has expanded its board of directors from 10 members to 11 members and appointed Olson as a new director. Olson, whose many legacies include improving coms at Socom, brings nearly 40 years of broad leadership, management and military operations experience to Iridium.
“I’m delighted to welcome Admiral Olson to our board and the Iridium family,” Matt Desch, Iridium’s chief executive officer, said in a press release. “His decades of distinguished leadership and management experience as a naval officer will be especially important as we grow our strategic relationship with the U.S. Government. We look forward to his many contributions as a key member of our board and senior leadership team.”
