Florida’s jobless rate lowest since 2009

Unemployment fell again in Florida last month to 10.3 percent, its lowest level since June 2009.
On Friday, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity announced that the jobless rate in October had fallen 0.3 percentage points from its September rate, 10.6 percent. The number of unemployed Floridians is 955,000.
Florida’s unemployment rate was 11.8 percent a year ago.
