Although we saw a rainy start to the weekend, conditions will be improving by late today. A fast-moving cold front will sweep across the area ushering in a much cooler and drier airmass. Wind will increase this afternoon as skies gradually clear from north to south. Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s to around 40 degrees for Citrus, Hernando and Pasco Counties while most other areas will stay in the low to mid 40s. Coastal locations will fall to a low in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. Frost shouldn’t be a widespread event since wind speeds will be elevated. However in the normally cooler, rural locations patchy frost is a possibility.
A warming trend will begin Sunday afternoon followed by another cold front by mid-week.
