The state Department of Transportation has a goal of getting Interstate 4 open today. However, officials caution, there is no guarantee or promise the closed portion of the highway will be open to traffic today.
The DOT has no timeline or specific schedule and will not say whether there will be a partial opening of the road.
Workers are repairing asphalt damaged by burning vehicles. The contract for repair work is $300,000.
