Cox-Roush resigns from Hillsborough party job to take position with Cain campaign

Hillsborough Republicans will be getting a new party chair.

In an email to Republicans today, Deborah Cox-Roush submitted her resignation effective Nov. 15 to become the Florida Director of County Chairs for the Herman Cain presidential campaign.

Cox-Roush said the election of a new chairman would take place on Nov. 15.

She was elected to the county post in late 2008 when David Storck stepped down after being involved in a controversy over an email he received from a campaign volunteer and forwarded to political associates, containing language some considered racist.
