Bush 41 and his scooter will skip Tampa

Don’t look for George H.W. Bush in the throng of political celebrities attending the Tampa convention.

For the first time in 26 years, the nation’s 41st president will miss his party’s nominating bash because he has difficulty getting around these days.

Bush, 88, has a form of Parkinson’s disease that affects his legs and he gets around using a wheelchair or motorized scooter.
