Let’s all take a minute this election season to thank YouTube. Because of this online forum, we no longer have to wait for ‘Saturday Night Live’ to see parodies of political ads.
No-party Senate candidate Charlie Crist is making ads that emphasize the blurring of party lines - a seemingly strange strategy in this polarized election, but one that seems to be working well for him. You can watch a batch of them at Crist’s YouTube channel.
If you want to follow the crowd, though, wander over to the main YouTube and watch this parody of Crist’s ‘Best of Both’ ad. At last check, it had nearly 4,000 more viewers than the original!
