Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann will hit the Tampa area during a tour of Florida this weekend—Sunday morning, she’ll visit Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, a conservative North Tampa church known as a center of GOP political activity.
Bachmann will begin a weekend of Florida campaign activities with a visit to a sub sandwich shop in Jacksonville Friday evening, then a town hall meeting for invited guests Saturday morning in Poinciana.
Saturday night she’ll speak at an awards dinner being held by the religious right Florida Family Association.
She’ll attend the Sunday morning services at Idlewild Sunday, before going to a 4 p.m. rally being held by tea party groups and several local Republican Party organizations in Sarasota Sunday afternoon.
The church, where Bachmann’s campaign says she plans to attend 11:00 a.m. services, is at 18371 N. Dale Mabry Hwy.
The Sarasota rally is at 4:00 p.m. at the Sahib Temple, 600 North Beneva Rd.
