Whole Foods Market Carrollwood is hosting a pet party on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1-3 p.m.

The pet adoption event will include costume and talent contests as well as giveaways and freebies for those who attend. Contest prizes include Whole Paws pet food gift bags and store gift cards.  Pre-registration for the contests is required by calling (813) 264-3600.

Adoptable pets will be available on-site through Hillsborough County Animal Services and Lost Angels Rescue and anyone who adopts or fosters a pet will receive a pet essentials bag.

The store will also donate a free bag of Whole Paws dog food for each bag that a customer purchases and donates at the event.

The first 50 pets who attend will receive a free Whole Paws bag that includes pet food samples, food scoop and reusable pet food-saver lid.

Pets must play well with others and must remain on leashes at all times. Owners are required to bring their own supplies to clean up after their pets.

Whole Foods Market Carrollwood is located at 3802 Northdale Blvd., Tampa.
