It’s Gasparilla season, so it’s pretty likely you’re already sporting a peg-leg or eyepatch around town.

Wear your pirate gear to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay Jan. 17 - 19 and score valuable “booty”: adoption fees on all cats and kittens will be waived.

Normal adoption fees are $50 for kittens and $30 for cats older than 6 months.

All animals adopted from HSTB are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a free 30 day ShelterCare pet insurance policy. A rabies tag is required for all pets adopted ages 12 week and older from HSTB which is $20.

The shelter is open from noon until 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday during the “Catsparilla” event.

Humane Society of Tampa Bay is located at 3607 N Armenia Ave., Tampa
