I’m four days away from my due date and I am beyond ready. I read on BabyCenter.com http://babycenter.com that only five percent of babies are born on their scheduled due date! I have my fingers crossed I won’t go past mine. I’m trying to relax and keep my mind occupied, but it’s really hard—it’s hot, I’m constantly tired, my feet look like sausages, my face is so swollen I barely recognize myself in the mirror. Not to mention, I’m very anxious to meet my baby.
Advice on how to induce is pouring in from family and friends:
Eat macaroni and cheese with A-1 sauce (the boxed variety and hubby has to make it).
Eat spicy food. (I admit I did eat Thai food the day I went into labor with Summer.)
Go for a long walk.
Reflexology.
Mow the lawn. (Yes, a co-worker’s wife went into labor after mowing the lawn!)
For now I will try to remain patient but if I’m still pregnant come Sunday, I am trying all these things and anything else you have to offer.

My daughter was born on her due date amazingly…and in 15 minutes after my water broke I may add! Anyway, it does happen. Hang in there. I walked around the block numerous times the day before and that morning mild contractions arrived. But it is too hot out during the day so wait until night or early morning. Good luck.

I also am due Aug. 6. TOMORROW!!!
This will be my third boy and I know what you mean about being soooo ready! I’m in so much pain, I can hardly walk around. And it is so hot. Well good luck to you and maybe we won’t go past our due dates.

Eat Watermelon ( a whole one, well okay half of one) It really does work and it worked for me the first time with my daughter Sara. Good luck
