We’ve all been hearing about the newest trend in teen drug abuse—raiding Mom and Dad’s medicine cabinet.
To help parents recognize the dangers, Tampa General Hospital is presenting a free program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (May 21) at its education center in Hyde Park.
The lecture will include information on which prescription medications and common household products are abused, the signs your teen may be using them, and what to do if your child becomes sick from an overdose.
Seating is limited, so registration is required. Call 1-800-822-3627 or register online at www.tgh.org. Check-in is at 6 p.m. at the TGH Hyde Park Community Health Education Center, 740 South Village Circle in Tampa. Hyde Park Village is at Swann and S. Dakota avenues.
