Tampa’s After School Activity Program enrollment opens at 6 p.m.

Your park is the coolest place to be after school!  Tampa Parks and Recreation Department After School Activity Program (ASAP) provides a safe, supportive environment for children 5-12 years of age. Participants receive homework help, participate in team sports, games and fitness activities,  explore the arts and develop lifetime friendships. A current Rec Card and registration is required to participate. The program is free, but space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Online Priority Registration for City of Tampa Residents for the After School Activity Program opens 6 p.m. on Monday, August 9 and closes noon on Tuesday, August 10 or when sites are full.

Priority In-Person Registration for City of Tampa Residents will be held at any sites with openings remaining from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11. This requires you to visit the community center location you wish your child to attend during this time frame to register in person.

Open Registration for City and Non-City Residents (online and in person) for any sites with openings remaining will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 12 and will continue until sites are full.

The After School Activity Program is free and space is limited. Residents must have a current Rec Card, Parks and Recreation household account, and an email address on file to register online.

List of after-school activities and locations

Here’s what you do:

Click here to register for the After School Activity Program and follow the instuctions below.

1) Enter your User Name ‘Test: WEBID’ and Password ‘Test: WEBPIN’. Select ‘Sign In’. If this is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to update your user name and password as well as to provide the answers to two security questions. Once done, select ‘Submit’.

2) Select Afterschool & Camps under ‘Top Activities’.

3) On the listing of camps, left click on the ‘Location’ drop down menu to select the location you wish to register your child. Please remember, for locations with multiple facilities, select the Center.

4) Select the Afterschool Program you wish to register your child.

5) Left click on the ‘Family Member to Enroll’ and select the participant you are enrolling. Select ‘Add to Cart’.

6) Left Click on ‘Continue’ under the ‘Charge full amount today’ section (the amount charged is $0.00) 

7) If you would like to enroll another child, select ‘Continue Shopping’ and repeat the directions listed above starting at step 3 for the next child.

8) When your activity registration is complete, select ‘Proceed to Checkout’.

9) Select ‘Continue’ at the ‘Summary of Charges’ screen.

10)
Select ‘Continue’ at the ‘Billing Info’ screen.

11) Select ‘Continue’ at the ‘Process’ screen.

12) If you would like to view the receipt, select ‘View Confirmation Receipt (in .PDF format)’. For your information, it is emailed to you automatically.

13) Select ‘Exit’, ‘Return to Home Page’, or ‘Continue Shopping’ to complete process.
