Still Battling That Car Sick Feeling

Here I am, 19 weeks now, and I still wake up and go to bed feeling sick all the time.  It really stinks.  They say it’s a small percentage of women who have to battle morning sickness their whole pregnancy.. well lucky me.  I’de much rather win the lottery.  I find I just eat what makes me feel better.  Let me give you a quick example.  When my husband went to work out yesterday, I managed to polish off two cold pieces of pizza, some chocolate ice cream and the last of a big bag of Almond M&M’s.  When he got back from his workout, you can guess who felt better.  I try to reach for a piece of fruit when I need something to snack on, but all bets were off yesterday.  Till next time…..

Hi!  I was a full-time working 1st time Mother last year and had nausea all the time!  I found that Zofran was a perfect solution for this all day feeling.  (This is a prescription medicine provided by your Dr.) It was a lifesaver for me!  Take care, you look wonderful.  My sister and I are enjoying your Monday baby segment!

I can relate!  I am now 25 weeks along with my 2nd child and have never been more nauseous.  I lucked out with my first, a girl.  I never had morning sickness.  Not the case with this little guy, a boy.  The only thing that has made me feel better is “comfort food”.  I am WAY ahead of schedule on my weight gain, at a whopping 27 lbs already!  But, it is well worth it and I lost it all, and then some, with my first.  So, my advice is…eat. You will feel better now and will lose it all afterwards.  If you are like me, you will be too vain not too!

I am just now 3 months and I have morning sickness all of the time. NOTHING made me feel better until my Doctor told me to take B-12. 10-50mg twice a day. I don’t feel sick at all now!

I’m currently pregnant with identical twin girls. I’m alittle over 24wks now and this is my first pregnancy. I’m sorry to hear you’re still having morning sickness! I guess I got lucky and didn’t have anything but a few days of some slight nausea. I love your segments on Motherhood and am happy to see something positive on the news! It also helps me a lot with your reviews on things, seeing as though I’m clueless on what the best things are for babies these days!

I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby.  I have been sick since about week 6.  For a while I couldn’t eat any meat so I stuck with pasta and pizza…but hey isn’t that better than not eating at all.  I have gained 13 pounds already.  It amazes me that I am still gaining weight when I seem to throw everything up.  My Dr prescribed zofran for me and I have found that it helps with the nausea but not the vomiting.  Most times I don’t have enough warning when I’m going to vomit to take one.  And I work with someone who is also 15 weeks pregnant and she is all smiles everyday and has not had a bit of morning sickness…to be that lucky.

I am a mother of three. My first, I was sick for the first 3 months…food, food, and more food was my cure. The second, well I just had that nausea feeling, which I felt was worse; I would have rather just got it over with and vomitted. With my third, and last, I had full-flown sickness for the first 4 months and the only thing to relieve it was CHOCOLATE MILK. I had to have a glass sometimes before my feet hit the floor (thanks Honey for being at my beckon call).
Good luck, Stacie.

Hi, Stacie.  You are my favorite anchor on channel 8.  I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first and it’s a boy.  I have had nausea since week 7 but it started to go away after reaching 20+ weeks.  Then I was hospitalized for preterm labor and was put on medication to stop the contractions at 23 weeks.  Ever since, I have been feeling dizzy and sick from the medicine but my baby is doing great!  Only 5 more weeks until I get my C-section and I am very ready for my little one to arrive.  Drinking water and sometimes eating Fig Newtons were the only thing that helped my stomach.  Best of luck to you and your family.  I enjoy watching your reports.  In fact, I attended the C100 dinner and you did a great job!
