Millions of very cute baby floats, including one I own, are being recalled because the leg straps can tear, dumping the child into the water.
Aqua-Leisure Industries is recalling four million inflatable baby floats. The company says it’s received 31 reports of the floats’ seats tearing. No one was injured, according to the company.
Click here for a list of the recalled items, complete with photos.

A lot of stores carried these floats, including Target, Toys “R” Us, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Kmart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware and Bed, Bath & Beyond. They were sold between December 2002 and last month and cost between $8 and $15.
Anyone with one of the recalled floats can call Aqua-Leisure Industries, Inc. at (866) 807-3998 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the company’s Web site at www.aqualeisure.com for a full refund.
