Ikea offers free winter fun, food for kids

Ikea, the innovative and inexpensive furniture store, also has innovative and free kids activities.
Ikea Tampa Kids’ Academy features free activities, free meals and a free Ikea Tampa Kids’ Academy T-shirt for kids under 12.
Activities last 20 minutes and start at 11 a.m., then repeat at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and are an excellent way to entertain the kids on a dime over the winter school break.
The scheduled activities include “cooking,” crafts and more.
Wednesday, Dec. 26 - It’s story time in the mattress studio. Wear your pajamas!
Thursday, Dec. 27 - Make a snowflake as unique as you.
Friday, Dec. 28 - Prepare for your New Year’s celebration. Decorate a party favor.
