If you have young kids like me, you probably can’t wait for the Glazer Children’s Museum of Art to open! A friend of mine had a behind-the-scenes tour last week, and is psyched about the hands-on activities the museum will offer when it opens Saturday, Sept. 25.
The museum will have 12 areas for kids to play, including a Gasparilla-themed area and a tot center for little kids. There will be more than 170 “hands-on, minds-on” interactive exhibits, museum officials say. Water’s Journey, pictured above, is the first installation completed at the new museum in downtown Tampa.
Annual family passes went on sale today and you can go online now to www.GlazerMuseum.org/membership get yours, plus get an extra three months at no extra charge if you buy your pass before August 15. Packages for up to five family members start at $90 a year.
