Free school physicals, immunizations for new Florida students

Students new to Florida schools can get a free physical on some upcoming Saturdays.

Students entering a Florida school for the first time in grades kindergarten through 12 are eligible for the free physicals and required immunizations.

Parents or legal guardians must accompany their children and current immunization records are required for children to receive the shots.

To schedule an appointment at locations that require one, call (813) 443-3048.

Hillsborough County public schools resume on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Free physicals are for students entering kindergarten through grade 12, no Head Start or day care physicals will be available.
