Families invited to Lakeland Police open house

The Lakeland Police Department is hosting an open house for the community on Saturday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its main police station, 219 North Massachusetts Avenue.
Enjoy a tour of the department, crime lab, emergency operations center and communications center. There will be activities for children and lots of equipment and vehicles, including the police helicopter, on display. There also will be demonstrations by the SWAT Team, K-9 Team and other officers.
The event is free and refreshments will be served.
