Complaining at School

So Ellyn Smith, the principal at Alafia Elementary, is stepping down.

It’s not often that parents have the wherewithal to keep fighting. Many, many parents I know fear speaking up because they worry nothing will happen and their actions will be used against their children—the last thing any parent wants.

What do you think about this? Have you ever kept quiet, or moved your children out of a school because you got nowhere when you complained? Or are there schools where approaching teachers/administrators with problems results in solving them?

Please share your experiences.
