Ok so I get a little bit of lip from my husband today and I’m not talking a kiss. I did not realize his friends at work might check out the blog. I thought it was just for us girls
But it’s now become fodder to give my husband a little good natured grief at work. I actually think that’s funny, but I got the raised eyebrow look
Well I take back nothing! He does hold my tummy and tell me all the time how cute it is.. and thank God for that. I mean truly I could not feel more awkward and ready to have this baby. Everything is growing. Another sign it’s a girl. I see all you women out there having boys with just a bowling ball. I don’t have that kind of luck when I carry babies. In fact, when I was pregnant with my daughter Katie - Barney the dinosaur stopped by our studios. I jumped the chance to take a picture with the purple guy and when it developed I wasn’t sure who was who. But I’m no where near full term so I don’t want to wish for her too hard. I truly want a healthy happy baby. And considering I am high risk, I hold my breath and pray everyday. I’ll be in touch soon. Oh and p.s. I’ll be adding more stuff about my hubby!!

Congratulations on making it this far. Our husbands are in the Krewe of Sant’ Yago together (I knew Mark in high school) so I heard that you were expecting. I am 31 weeks but was placed on complete bedrest 2 weeks ago because I went into preterm labor. I had contractions and dilated to 1 cm and my cervix started to shorten - so to bed I went. They’re letting me work from home on a laptop so at least I can maintain my sanity. Glad to see you’re progressing well with high risk - your little angel will arrive soon enough I’m sure!!!

Congrats Gayle and family
You tell your husband not to worry about anything anyone rags him about. There are many “fathers” that don’t get involved with the carrying or birth of their own child. Like the commercial says “it takes a real man to be a father”. I was there three times and my ex didn’t want to be involved at all.
My baby is almost 17 now (Scorpio) and things have changed over the years. I also have an almost 19 (Libra) and my son would have been 21 (Virgo, passed in a wreck in April). So as you see I did the hot summer months, lots of water and AC.
I must say I have watched channel 8 for as long as I can remember, everyone makes us all feel like family. Prayers are with you and your family.

Well Gail, I know how you feel ... I’m walking around with what feels like a million exta pounds, she’s not just in my tummy, she’s in my arms, my thighs, & my CANKLES!! Yes I’m carrying a girl and I feel the Staypuff! I’v got a little less than seven weeks left and this is my first, so I’m, we’re very excited (and a little anxious…And yes my hubby loves the belly too, he give it kisses and talks ridiculously to it, he’s such a doll!

Hi Gail, I am the mother of 3 boys and all three pregnancy’s were totally different. My first was so high he would hang and swing from my ribs, my 2nd was so low I thought he would just fall right out. Both were great-no sickness or anything, but labor was forever. My last and final one was my alien child. I was sick the whole time and got no sleep. I only gained 11 pounds with him. But labor was great. With the 2nd and 3rd babies they said I was having a girl. But no pink for me!
As for Scorpio, It’s a great sign,(I am) and your baby will be just great! I wish you the best.

Tell your husband that he’s to cherish NOW enjoy! Have you noticed you wrap your arms over abdomen on the news? Be proud, you look wonderful, as did my daughters carrying my 9 grandchildren.
I’m 53. In my 3rd trimester, mom didn’t like to go with me, not proper to be in public pregnant. People might know what happened! Clothes, bags! If you were over size 14, forget it.Clothing & patterns were to 14. me, size 18. Wrote Simplicity, was sent “How to Enlarge Patterns”. I learned to sew! Couldn’t have wedding gowns, didn’t come large either!Wore ugly dress from K-mart!
I re-married 9/18/04 wore a size 8, (gastric-by-pass, was 350 lbs). Sure, now clothes come pretty in lrg sizes. I do not recomend the surgery!
Take good care and be proud. Your with a great news team. Both husband & I disabled, I have Lupus, he was hit by drunk driver. Need more segments on Lupus. My brother died 2 yrs. ago from complications.
Sincerely,
Margie

Hi, Gayle!
Happy to hear you are fairing so well!
And don’t let your hubby get to you…mine was the same way! Seemed like the only time he cared that I was even pregnant was the ultrasound appointment and the day I went into labor! And we have THREE kids! :S Imagine my dispair! :S
All 3 of my kids were born in July…so I have 2 Cancers (July 7th and the 14th) and a Leo (July 29th). Lucky for me, I am pretty tall…so because of my long torso, I never looked big and I seemed to carry right in the middle (neither too high or too low). I didn’t even start showing with any of them until I was at around 7 months.
I hope you are feeling well and I wish you the best of luck!

Tell Markymark to be nice to you or Santa won’t bring him any presents.
