Starbucks is known for many things. Five dollar coffees. Crowds of laptop-fixated mobile workers. Brand omnipresence.
Discounts, not so much.
There is, however, one small deal this summer at Starbucks.
Between July 18 and September 5, if you buy a drink in the morning, the cashiers should stamp your receipt with a nifty little coupon. Keep that receipt and come back to a Starbucks after 2 p.m., and you’ll get any Grande-sized cold drink for just $2. That’s about half off for a iced coffee or iced tea. Not all locations are participating, so you may want to call ahead to make sure the Starbucks at your Target or bookstore is participating. (Are there still bookstores? Yes, a few, thankfully)
Officially, the deal runs “while supplies last,” which we can’t really imagine would be a factor anyway. Can you envision the apocalypse if Starbucks ran out of coffee?
