Squish, squish, squish.
I did not outrun the rain today.

I was planning to hit CrossFit at 7 today (instead of 6, when I prefer to go—I was delayed by several things), and I left my place about 6:45 to run there.
Just as the wind began picking up.
And then I heard the distant thunder rumbling.
I decided to make a run for it.
I wasn’t even halfway there when the torrential downpour arrived. Was I wearing a white T-shirt? Guess.
I tried to take refuge under an awning for a few minutes, but by that time, I was pretty close to drenched. Down to my socks!
Squish, squish, squish.
That is not a good feeling.
If you’ve driven through south Tampa during a light drizzle, you know how quickly the streets flood. Avoiding puddles was NOT an option.
By the time I made it to CrossFit, it looked like I had just gotten out of the shower with my clothes on. Yes!
At least I was warmed up for the Workout of the Day.
Warm-up: 3 rounds of 10 each:
*Deadlifts
*Push-ups
*Sit-ups
*Back extensions
Workout: 5 rounds of:
*7 Power snatches (135 pounds)
*9 Pull-ups
First of all, I could only snatch 45 pounds, and that was a struggle. (I said snatch.) But I managed to bang it out.

And then I got to run home.
Squish, squish, squish.

Watching the Bills-Titans exhibition on NFL Sunday Night Football is exhilarating!

I can already taste football season, and I’ve been salivating for months!
The rest of the league is digging in and preparing for the start of the regular season.
Take the Dallas Cowboys, for example.

Here’s #61, rookie Greg Isdaner, before:

Here’s #61 after:

Turns out the veterans were kind enough to provide free haircuts to the new young whippersnappers running around Cowboys Stadium.
Not sure what happened to the before photo of Pat McQuistan, but check out this sexy new number:

Check out the Yahoo! Sports video here that includes Travis Bright’s unicorn puff.

Tebow, McCoy, Bradford have Florida, Texas, Oklahoma 1-2-3

It’s as easy as one, two, three.
Florida, Texas and Oklahoma, the top three teams in the preseason USA TODAY Coaches’ Poll, are led by three history-making quarterbacks: Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford.
Does it make me nervous? Heck yeah.
But I say, Bring It!
GO GATORS!!
