My husband is several months younger me, and he loves to rub it in. He likes to remind me of the fact that he gets carded at local restaurants and clubs; I almost never do. He has a naturally younger looking mug; I have to work at it by using tons of sunscreen and moisturizers.
Now, comes a study that reinforces the fact that I’m never going to look as young as him—no matter what I use.
The study, which appears in the November/December issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, says women develop more and deeper wrinkles around their mouths as they age than men do.
Dermatologists studied the skin surface of male and female cadavers. They found women wrinkle more because of fewer sweat and sebacous glands and fewer blood vessels, and a different muscle structure.
