Really. Literally. I was getting ready to hit Curves when I heard a loud pop and the electricity went off.

It came back on and then pop, it went off again, then came back on. I looked out the window and saw smoke rising from the grass down the street and two men trying to stomp out a fire. Worried about how dry it is, I called the Fire Department and they came a running.

I spied a mylar balloon in the wires and figured it triggered the outages, called TECO and they said I had broken the code, because they couldn’t figure out what was going on with that breaker. Returning from Curves, I saw the TECO truck just leaving the scene.

Talk about the start of a hot weekend!
