The Hillsborough school board today will discuss permission slips, lots of them, allowing videotaping in classrooms to see how teachers influence student achievement.

It’s part of the Measures of Effective Teaching Project funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Some 12,000 permission slips will be distributed.

Click here to read more about the project, and about the school board meeting at 3 p.m. today. Also on the agenda is hundreds of millions of dollars in spending as part of the district’s five-year work plan.

Board meetings are held at the Raymond O. Shelton Administrative Center, 901 E. Kennedy Blvd.
