About 250 students started classes at a new USF campus in North Port on Monday, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports.
It’s a relocation from its South Sarasota County site on the State College of Florida campus in Venice.
Students are taking more than 630 classes in a variety of subjects, including psychology, criminology and business.
For a while “buzz has circulated about expansion, perhaps even a standalone campus in coming years,” the story says.
